Biosfair is listed in the Gold Standard Impact Registry, with atmosfair
The containerized anaerobic digestion project REURASIA is building with atmosfair now appears in the Gold Standard Impact Registry as a planned project (GS23708) — the first REURASIA plant on a carbon-credit certification path, with the digester modules already fabricated.
MANILA, Philippines — The containerized biogas project that REURASIA is developing with the German climate organisation atmosfair gGmbH is now listed in the Gold Standard Impact Registry under the title Containerized Anaerobic Digestion for Renewable Energy and Fertilizer — Philippines (GS23708). The listing places the project on the Gold Standard for the Global Goals certification path, under which the methane avoided and the renewable electricity produced are measured, verified and issued as carbon credits.
atmosfair signed its cooperation agreement with REURASIA in April 2025, after its project team visited Manila to see the containerized concept: relocatable digester modules that can be moved to another site once operations at the first are complete, processing up to four tonnes of segregated organic waste a day at pilot scale. The first plant, the Biosfair Project in San Pablo City, Laguna, was launched with Alterna Verde Corporation on 7 April 2026; its stakeholder consultation report and key project information are published on atmosfair’s project page.
What the listing means
The project’s climate benefit is accounted for under an independent standard, not claimed by the developer.
Carbon finance from the credits is part of what makes a plant of this size financeable without the client carrying the capital cost — the model behind REURASIA’s containerized digester lease.
If the pilot performs, atmosfair intends to build further plants of the same concept in the Philippines.
Where the project stands
Fabrication of the digester modules, the technical and pumping containers, the flare and the gas circuit is complete. The units are being prepared for shipment to the site, with commissioning expected by the end of 2026. The plant layout shown on our digester leasing page is the design being deployed.
