A steady stream of organic waste costs money to dispose of, beside a utility bill that keeps rising.
There is no appetite for a large capital project to fix either, and no space in the operating budget for one.
The hauler's invoice and the power bill sit in different departments, so nobody adds them up.
What usually applies
- A containerised anaerobic digester on your site under a 10-year lease. We finance, build and operate it; you supply the waste and take the gas or power.
- Co-digestion where a second stream from a neighbour improves the mix.
- A paid audit first where the composition is uncertain, so the lease is sized on measured data.
What usually does not
- Sites below about 2,000 tonnes a year of digestible organics, unless the composition is unusually rich. Below that, composting or a shared plant is the honest answer.
- Packaging, plastics and sweepings. The digester takes the organic fraction only.
