Master Electrician
Job Brief:
We are looking for a licensed Master Electrician to oversee and maintain the electrical systems of an 18TPH Biomass Boiler. The Master Electrician will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, controls, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, motors, generators, switchgear, transformers, and control panels in compliance with plant requirements.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults, motor failures, and power distribution issues to ensure smooth boiler operation.
- Ensure compliance with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), DOLE Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Standards, and other government regulations.
- Inspect and test electrical wiring, circuit breakers, and other plant electrical components to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Coordinate with the Team Leader for planned maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Maintain logbooks, reports, and records of electrical activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Ensure all electrical work follows Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Requirements:
- PRC-licensed Master Electrician (RME) is required.
- TESDA NC II or III Certification in Electrical Installation and Maintenance is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in power plants, biomass, manufacturing, or heavy industries.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems, motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and switchgear.
- Familiarity with DOLE-OSH standards, electrical hazard prevention, and emergency procedures.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting, relay logic, and control circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, P&ID, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
- Physically fit and willing to work in shifts, on-call emergencies, and plant shutdowns.
- Strong attention to safety, risk assessment, and compliance with electrical codes.
- Willing to work overtime as required.
- Must be available to start immediately and be willing to work in Laguna.
