Boiler Foreman

Job Brief:

We are looking for a Boiler Foreman to oversee the operations and maintenance of the 18TPH Biomass Boiler. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the boiler systems. The ideal candidate must be physically fit, hardworking, and safety-conscious, with experience in an industrial plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision & Leadership:
    • Lead a team of boiler operators, technicians, and maintenance workers.
    • Ensure team members are trained and follow safety procedures.
    • Assign tasks and provide guidance in day-to-day operations and maintenance.
  • Boiler Operation & Monitoring:
    • Supervise the operation of boilers, including startup, shutdown, and normal operation.
    • Ensure that all boilers operate within manufacturer specifications and regulatory compliance.
    • Monitor pressure, temperature, and fuel levels to maintain optimal efficiency.
  • Maintenance & Repair:
    • Oversee routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs of the boilers.
    • Coordinate emergency repairs and troubleshooting when issues arise.
    • Manage inventory and order necessary parts and materials for repairs or replacements.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all work adheres to safety standards and regulations (OSHA, local codes, etc.).
    • Maintain safety protocols for all team members working around or with boilers.
    • Conduct safety training and safety drills for the team.
    • Perform regular safety audits and maintain records of inspections and safety checks.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain and update accurate logs for boiler operation, fuel consumption, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.
    • Report any significant incidents, malfunctions, or failures in boiler operations to senior management.
    • Keep accurate records of fuel usage, energy production, and any downtime.

Qualifications:

  • At least a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Boiler Operator License or equivalent certification (required by the Philippine government or regulatory bodies).
  • Additional certifications in industrial safety and maintenance are advantageous.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in boiler operation, maintenance, and supervision within an industrial setting.
  • Experience in rigging, welding, and fitting.
  • Maintenance experience in conveyor and hydraulics system
  • Basic knowledge of electrical system
  • Solid understanding of boiler systems, combustion processes, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with Philippine safety regulations, including DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) standards and environmental laws.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot operational and mechanical problems quickly.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting and team coordination.
  • Ability to work in hot, dusty, and noisy environments with proper PPE.
  • Willing to work shifts, overtime, and during plant emergencies or shutdowns.
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and cleanliness.
  • Must be available to start immediately and be willing to work in Laguna.
